Day 23: The Braided Bun {30 Days, 30 Ways}

Day Twenty-Three: The Braided Bun
Skill To Learn: Just Combining Skills You’ve Already Learned
Difficulty: Easy Peasy
Time Commitment: 15 Minutes
What You Need: Gel, Comb, 1 Fat Elastic, 1 Clear Elastic, 3 Bobbies

For Day Twenty-Three of 30 Days, 30 Ways, we’re going to do the super-girly Braided Bun!  This is as easy as one-tw0-three and can be styled very clean or wispy and whimsical.   If you style wet with gel, you will achieve the polished look as seen on Alayna below.  But if you fashion a looser braid on dry hair and allow strands to fall out as you wrap the bun, you will accomplish a subtler look.  The style will also change depending on where you position your bun.  (Go here for more on that…)  So here we go:

     One….                                         Two……                                     Three…………

As we learned on Day 21, you can create the illusion of having bangs and incorporate them into just about any look.  On Larken’s hair, below, I used Twisted Bangs to give her a side parting from the front, and then pulled all of the remaining hair back to a ponytail, which I then loosely braided and bunned.  (Is that a verb?)  😉

Have a great day and remember that someone needs a ray of light today that only you can shine.
Make time for inspiration, be yourself without apology and always light your world with goodness!
