Make Your Own Baby Bumper

After much shopping on foot and online, I resorted to home crafting for Baby Boy’s crib bumper and skirt.  I decided on a rustic cabin theme for his nursery, so this red corduroy and [sturdy but soft] tartan were just what I had been imagining, but couldn’t find.  Add to that a boyish denim for contrast and muslin for the crib skirt base, and I was ready to rock the sewing machine!  The total cost of this project (foam inserts and thread included) was only $70.
